We got the DRAW !
For those that have been following our journey regarding the medical marijuana provisioning center we have been working tirelessly for years on, in pursuit to engage the city of Grand Haven to adopt.
September 10th, we were drawn as one of four opportunities to exist as one of the first establishment to sell medical cannabis. We were one of seven applications summited.
This property is located on a vacant parcel on Jackson street in Grand Haven, next to the Lake Michigan Credit Union across the street form Home Depot. This establishment will act as a sister company to Paradigm, extending our reach to truly offer integrated care.
While the lottery draw doesn’t necessarily mean we have the official approval, this is certainly the biggest hump thus far (aside from the adopted law).
Next Steps
The next steps for us is to summit all of our drawings and business plans to the city for the approval to be scheduled for a Special Use Permit by the Planning Commission. We have until November 9th to have all submitted and we are looking forward to our process.
As mentioned before, this is a vacant parcel so full development will still take time. I’ve always said Grand Haven was where I wanted to be. I don’t necessarily need to be the first, but I certainly want to have the best. I fully plan to not only meet the expectation of my community members and guests of Paradigm, but we plan to set the absolute best in state standard for our establishment.
I’m very grateful to the city of Grand Haven for listening and curating this ordinance to allow accessibility.
